This study is a contribution to a better understanding of the participation of Nigerian immigrants to the socio-economic development of the municipality of Pobè.
The methodological approach used includes data collection, processing and analysis of the results.
The result show that 96, 25% of Nigerian immigrants are economic migrants.
They work in the informal sector and are illustrated withim in the trade sector notably by the sale of mecanical and pneumatic parts, electrical equipment and lighting, appliances and electronic devices, laptops and accessories. They participate in the popularization of the local languages and generate taxes for the municipality. The constraints that hinder the smooth running of the activities of immigrants are the exaggerated processes at customs, high taxes and competition.
For a better organization of the activities of immigrants and improved services a communal cell must be put in place to allow installation and follow-ups.
